Late start here, got on at 1450Z thinking it was the last 10 minutes...
Surprise! Had a fun hour, 15M was open but very few callers. Had a nice run for
the last 15 minutes on 20 CW with stations to the south and west. East coast was
weak.

AA8TA   Single Op LP   2,2082017-09-02 08:12:12

The start on 80 and 40 was great but 80 died early. Then 20 did not open yet so
only one band. Unfortunately 40 rate slowed before 20 opened. The end of hour 2
and beginning of hour 3 was slow going. Finally 20 somewhat opened but not
much on 40 for dual band op. In the last half hour I finally tried 15 and was
pleasantly surprised. Hope 15 is open for Session 3.

Thanks for the Qs - see you at 2000 UTC.

No assistance used. It's always surprising to me that there is no non-assisted
category in a contest that purportedly is about CW skill. Isn't finding your
own contacts part of the skill of operating CW? This event would be greatly
improved if people had to turn off their Internet.

My high band antennas are very poor so I never do well in a contest where high
band activity is important.
