FT1000MP, Alpha 78, 1 KW, TH6DXX, dipole. Thanks for the QSOs. Good job
especially by the mobiles. 73. John.

Didn't hear a lot of Colorado stations. Most of my contacts were multiple
contacts with the same stations on various bands/modes. Still fun. Got WA0VTU
twice as a bonus station

I hadn't planned on operating but got home early enough to put in a few
minutes.

Score includes 1500 bonus points for three Qs with WA0VTU.

Another year of basically waiting for the mobiles to change counties. At least
there were four of them. Thanks W0ETT, W0ZA, AD0DX and N0KV. Very little action
after 02Z. 73...

This another portable operation from W7AYT's QTH.
Didn't get started til 17:20. 20 quickly went long
and 15 never materialized so I switched to the CWOPS
GiG. When that ended at 00:00z 40 meters showed promise
to Colorado and eventually on SSB as well.

This was my first COQP and it was a lot of fun. We moved to Colo Springs in
June and were looking forward to this.

My wife is my driver and we decided to drive from Colo Springs to Durango.

There were a few times where we were driving down roads where we were
surrounded by mountain wall on both sides and just seemed no RF was getting out
too far, or maybe just going straight up.

Thanks for all the qso's and hope to work you next year.

Disappointed in 40 meter activity this year...very few stations heard in FL.

Still leaves 16 CO counties needed.

WB9KPT   SOPh HP   17,4422017-09-03 10:02:32
Worked 12 Colorado counties.

Just 3 contacts worked with hard QSB on the bands. Limited time to play in this
one.

100 watts, homebrew magnetic loop from AZ

Very little luck at start of contest, then back on the air around 23UT.
Apparently 20 was too long at that point, but 40 picked up nicely at sunset.
Missed a couple stations due to pileups, but otherwise was able to pretty much
work what I heard. Apparently there were bonus stations but didn't hear them,
nor any mobiles. Oddly enough, the two strongest signals were county-line
portables. Nice to work a QSO party for a state in which I used to live.

KN4Y   SOCW LP   2,2882017-09-04 09:19:45
Operated CW as much as possible, lost two hours due to wife's problems. Did not
hear Bonus stations on CW. This was a 20 meter QSO party. Glad to see and work
several mobiles.

Radio: Yaesu FTDX-5000, 100 watts
Antennas: Hy-Gain AV-640 vertical
1/2 size G5RV dipole in attic
Loaded (shortened) dipole for 80 meters
Software: WriteLog for Windows

K8TE/0 on the Rio Grande county line was a new county for me from CO, as well
as new all-time 40m.

My only QSO on 80m was with NX0U (K6XT). Thanks for moving me!

Score includes 1,500 bonus points. Low activity again, probably Labor Day
Weekend doesn't help. Thanks to W0ZA, W0ETT, AD0DX, and N0KV for their great
mobile work. Note: "W0ABC/m" does not work as well as
"W0ABC/cty."
