Nice to work Skip, K6DGW on 15m.....MASSIVE signal. I presume from W7RN?

Hello to Hank W6SX who grabbed me after round 2.......heard K6RB but couldn't

Usually the 19z session produces more Q's for me, but not this time. Just for
fun (?) I called 15 straight CQs at the end on 40m and got no responses. That
suggests lower activity, I would think.

WT2P   Single Op HP   2,5002016-08-17 13:04:21
Fun times! Took a mental health day off work so had the ability to focus the
full hour on something I enjoy.

66% run, 36% S&P -- A lot of weak stations on 20 and I need to do some more
work on the 20M dipole to try to fix that.

Hope to be on for part of the 0300Z session tonight

Stn: Elecraft KX3, KXPA100, PX3, Alpha 76PA, Dipoles at 40'

N5PHT   Single Op LP   1,0802016-08-17 13:05:09
Session started off with the power company cutting power to the campground -
right at 1900 utc!! That was a delay and I eventually started and was
rattled!! I could have started generator but thought the wait for the power
company about the same time (I don't have automatic switch over). OH well,
these things happen! Thanks for the QSOs and hope to be on at 0300.
WB5EIN   Single Op LP   1,8452016-08-17 13:05:18
Just relaxed and had fun this PM, often stopping and listening to my friends
running. I laughed and laughed at some of the exchanges with 'Sexy Scotty'
W7SW. What creativity this group has!

Hope to see y'all at 0300z. Until then, stay cool (and, if you're in
Louisiana, stay DRY!).

KØAD   Single Op LP   5,1352016-08-17 13:06:25
40 still a struggle up here in the daytime. Fewer signals heard on 15 than last

W6NS   Single Op HP   1,2952016-08-17 13:06:29
Rig: K3; ACOM1000. Antennas: C3E; DP-40m; 6BTV.

OP from CA; grid CM95; San Luis Obispo county.

Almost as good as 1300 but session seemed to drag, may be due to QSB. TU for
the Qs, be back for 0300.
W4OC   Single Op LP   5,4672016-08-17 13:06:37
Bands not great, but 10 open with no activity.
Lots of QRN from nearby thunderstorms.
Thanks for all the QSO's.

AB5OR   Single Op LP   5,0922016-08-17 13:07:06
In a total reversal from the 1300 session, 40 was dead for me but 20 was
hopping. Great fun this afternoon. Hope to get the late session in tonight.

Please don't answer WB5EIN. He has trashed me today. That crazy, sorry, no
good, dirty, cheating, lying, and everything else bad SCOUNDREL told me this
morning he was out for an easy casual CWT session... would be mostly listening.
Well, he worked 96 QSOs in his "Casual" operation. He complains that
he is a poor peanut whistle station. He lies!

His peanut whistle didn't get 96 QSOs for nothing.

73 to all but WB5EIN. QRT to him.

PS In case anyone reads this, WB5EIN, is a good friend.. I just wish his
antenna were on the ground occasionally so I might surpass him once.
KBØR   Single Op QRP   4622016-08-17 13:07:22
Thanks to all who could copy me.
K5IX   Single Op QRP   1002016-08-17 13:07:43
Session shortened due to tornado in vicinity. All personnel directed to seek
shelter immediately. Warning lifted about 20 minutes later so I resumed until
driven off by rain showers.
N5AW   Single Op LP   11,2112016-08-17 13:08:44
When I was able to make only 9 Q's on 15 thought no way am I going to be able to
break 10K but ended up with probably my most single band QSOs ever - 92 on
twenty - and ten on 40 (which is tough here in the middle of the day). So only
111 QSOs but 101 mults so did break that magic 10K. Thunderstorms in the area
but static not too bad. Have to see how it is this evening. We have had over 6
inches of rain since Saturday (compared to 1/2 inch the previous two months) -
nothing like Louisana but a lot for us with the potential for even more.
W1QK   Single Op LP   4,5362016-08-17 13:09:43

K1GU/4(@K1GU/NC)   Single Op QRP   6502016-08-17 13:09:49
At the beach with kids, grandkid, and KX3. (Corolla, NC, just south of VA)
Surrounded by salt water. Must help a lot. Much better than Minneapolis last
month. I have 3 inv-v dipoles up with apex at about 25' for 80, 40, 20. 80
wires are more of an unipole than dipole.

20 disappointing to say the least but thanks to all for pulling me out of the
noise on 40. CUL at 0300Z.
NA8V   Single Op LP   1,2962016-08-17 13:09:53
That didn't go well. I felt "out of sync", condx didn't seem all that
good, then the noise started. drove me nuts - wasn't raining, yet. Then the
heavens opened up and I pulled the plug.

cu at 03z, I hope for better!
