RTTY Sprint should be a 2 hour, 2 band contest! My last few had nobody to work
after 0200.. Unless you are a big gun, your done!

Thanks K6LL for putting me on a team..

A struggle every minute of the way. Not enough activity. Finally pulled the Big
Switch at 0250z.

SRI about my number being off. I was in the Stew Perry contest and when I opened
a new log in N1MM, it kept the QSO number from that contest and counted up from
there. My second radio went dead a short time in because my Six-Pak isn't
giving it the antennas properly. Need to debug and fix that. :-/ Thanks to all
for a brief but fun time in the Sprint!

Was so busy thinking about daylight savings time this week that I started the
sprint an hour late!!! Almost nothing left to copy on 20M except for PRINCE HH
and the two KEN CA's... moved MASA DC there later because I know there's a
pipeline from World Bank to Bradley Blvd on 20M no matter what time of day or
night :-)

W3RGA   Single Op LP   1,0562017-03-11 20:02:05
First 1/2 hour only made 6 contacts and decided to quit. Walked by the shack
around 02:00 and decided to see if things had improved... They did, sat down
for about an hour and made 38 Q's.

Low dipole, Single radio, Single receiver.

Whatta slog!

K4DXV   Single Op HP   1,6242017-03-11 20:09:21
The Good: Everyone seemed to be on their best game. Lots of courteous ops/no
problems with repeats.
The Bad: Amp kept overheating forcing me to low power about half the time. Had
an interruption that took me off the air for nearly an hour.
Overall: Enjoyable sprint. Wish conditions had been better, but I suppose this
is what we have to get used to.
Thanks to everyone, and hope I didn't hurt the team effort too badly!

K6LL   Single Op HP   5,8522017-03-11 20:12:19
The house behind me is going into foreclosure, and the security people installed
a sodium vapor yard light that is defective. It continually tries to start and
shut off, making a 50% duty cycle S9+ racket on 80. They say they will fix it
"soon." This was hard work for 154 QSO's.

KB1RI   Single Op LP   5272017-03-11 20:14:45
Had a conflict tonight and got home with only 45 minutes left in the contest.
Happy with the outcome despite the macros not being quite at the start.

Remote from California to Haiti HH2AA on RemoteHamRadio.com
I thought I would have limited time, so I went for some DX fun instead
of my usual NN7SS station. Sorry if there wasn't a WA in your log.

After a bit of prep with the Haiti station, FSK was working, and the
dipole on the hill worked fine. See the photos and videos on the
QRZ.com page for HH2AA. I had to stop every now and then and
enter the recent QSOs into their online logbook, so the times would
match when it went up to Lotw.

Thanks for the fun, I hope I brought a grin to a few faces.

Condx were not great, 20m went long very early, 40 was good early but long
quickly also, 80 was actually the best band.. Just not enough stations yet to
keep the rate up, but had fun in any case! Worked K6MR,N6RO, K5AM on 3 bands.

Thanks for all the Q's and 73 Todd WD0T

N1MM+ stopped working several times for some reason. I need to look into it.

This is the hardest I've ever worked on spring break.

George had me use my call because he felt guilty taking credit for the last 2
RTTY Sprints. Apparently the log checking software doesn't like guest ops.

I streamed this on Facebook Live and had a great time talking with friends the
whole time. It certainly made the time go by quicker.

My first sprint of any kind; it was fun. Thanks to Don N4ZZ for hanging with me
on the first contact! Limited antenna here and high noise level, but almost
everyone I called came back. Thanks for the contacts, and looking forward to
more RTTY and CW sprints.

Aloha and 73~

7 minutes between qsos doesnt seem like a sprint !!!!! activity seemed low, and
bands didnt want to cooperate

KI6DY   Single Op LP   1,7282017-03-12 07:12:00
I don't want to be a negative Nancy but at this point in time, this contest
really isn't that much fun. After 15 minutes, when 20 meters closed here, it
became a 2 band contest. After about an 1.5 hours its hard to find anyone that
isn't a dupe. I quit after 2 hours and 15 minutes. I've been in enough RTTY
contests to know that is my least favorite. I appreciate the NCJ sponsoring
this event, I will however, probably not be participating in future events. At
least not until 20 meters is open after dark again.

QRT early due to Thunderstorm
RTTY sprint is still a challenge for me
and seems a lot of guys did not understand the QSY rule
Interesting working E51 he wanted to work a pile up and asked to be spotted
I explained we were not using spotting during this contest
Cheers!

We had the grandkids this weekend so didn't make it to the shack until they had
gone to bed at 0315z. By that time 20m was gone, 40m was long, and with my
current 80m antenna being NVIS, it was tough going. Thanks for the Qs! I did
get to try some different filter settings on the K3 and found some more to my
liking so, it was worthwhile.

This was a spur of the moment decision to enter. First RTTY Sprint, Thanks to
all for bearing with me. I'll have it together next time

I should have recognized the disruptive phone call right at 0000Z as a bad omen.
Fumbled too much getting Sprint exchanges correct in N1MM. If you are really
serious about these Sprint format contests, you need to have the macros
programmed and tested well in advance. The format is definitely interesting.
More phone calls, frustration with N1MM as I switched between modes to chase
TU7C during the contest, and limited activity led me to call it quits early.

WØMB   Single Op HP   1,5402017-03-12 19:28:41
NTS:590,76A,PRO67B,40/75 dipoles,n1mm+. This is a strange contest to get into
for the first time. I was not ready for the ( sprint type qso's ) and again I
should have read the rules before hand. I was different and I hadn't come up
with stragedy to work with. I might try this one again sometime.

KU8E   Single Op HP   3742017-03-15 21:12:06
Thought I would give this one a try. Got bored after an hour. Activity seemed
low.
