FT890/FT301 + Doublet 2*16m @ 6m

Switched to the FT301 on Sunday because the FT890 had some RX trouble. No
external keyer available here at the holiday QTH, so I used the straight key.

Almost only S&P. Sometimes a very frustrating operating experience!

Ridiculous packet pileups and some OPs who did not ID for *many* minutes (I
counted up to 15min), only sending "TU". Without packet and a bandmap, this
cost me lots of time, waiting for the next ID. Being rather weak and only
getting through when the rest of the pileup is gone didn't make it better.

20m only opened briefly around noon to some parts of eastern Poland.

Thanks for all the QSOs; looking forward to SPDX 2011.

73, Fabian DJ1YFK

14 of 16, first time on this contest, next year better. Bad weather conditions,
bad propagation: bad skip on 20m...

K3 and dipole.
I used 100W - LP, but single band categories are only HP.
Worked only couple of hours to give out points.
It was nice suprise to have couple of small pile-ups on CW.

Thanks for QSOs,

Except another amplifier failure (first one within RUDXC), and lack of
propagation on higher bands this was a quite pleasent MOAB attempt :)
Thanks for all qso`s

First hour with rate 161 was nice, but in the next hours I had to struggle with
sleep... IMO WW form should be better for all. Tnx all, 73 Slaw

Please look for me and KU8E as K4BAI/M in the Georgia QSO Party on April 10-11.
There are nice certificates and plaques for domestic and DX stations at all
power levels. We have commitments for operating in all of Georgia's 159
counties, many of which have no or few active resident hams. There will be
many mobiles and rovers running from county to county. Two weeks after that,
we will again be QRV in the Florida QSO Party as W4AN/M. 73, John, K4BAI.

Dave K1TTT was very kind to allow me to work from his QTH in this year's SP DX
Contest. Boy, was I having a ball. The result came out pretty decent too,
although they could have been even better if it weren't for some mistakes. For
example I should have started collecting multipliers on 15 meters right at the
beginning, when there actually were a few stations there (15 did not really
open the next day). I was afraid that like 2 years ago the 20m might suddenly
close so I was trying to work as many stations there as I could - turned out
20m was solid this year. 80m during the night was a disappointment - very good
conditions but barely any stations.
Overall - loads of fun and I'm looking forward to the next year already.

This was a fun one. Always good to reciprocate operating in the regional DX
tests to support those ops who help us fill our logs in the DX majors. Cruised
40 and 80 on Saturday night and 20 on Sunday morning local time. Nice to see
all the activity. 10/15 never opened (not surprised) and just too much noise on
160. Thanks for the Qs and 73.
