Coffee break is only so long, so even @ 20mins I am stretching it as I had added
time running out to parking lot and moving my car to a remote parking lot that
is not close to the 4½ storey bldg I work in, but is closer to HV lines. One
can never win, hi !
Happy to work 10 stns (5 each on 20&40) including DL8PG on 20m (thanks!!)
Also upped the power from my normal ~65watts to a full 100w. Think the QTH
change and ~2dB in gain helped, though unable to get AA9A's attn on 40m despite
mni tries. hee hee - I am pretty weak on 40m from the car.

Condx were not so good here. 40 was weak; 20 was little stronger; and 15 was
mostly ESP signals. Thanks for the Qs. See you at 1900 and 0300Z.

Tough morning. Had 7 phone calls, sick child at school, band conditions so so.
But I made it.

Enjoyed working as always.

Back to my real world of low power but with the upside of SO2R again. Conditions
not great - DX stations mostly "watery" sounding but surprisingly
worked quite a few of them including VK6HG. 15 meters opened late but good
activity.

CWT is always loads of fun! Thanks to all you guys and gals who make it this
way!

Band condx were kinda funny this morning. (At least, that's the excuse I'm
claiming.)

First time using N1MM+ and a Windows laptop for CWT. Many thanks to crosstown
neighbor, Joe Moffatt, AB5OR, for coming over to the shack yesterday and
getting everything set up. But, I'm still learning how to navigate this new
setup.

Looking forward to the 1900Z run, just to see if bands improve.

N5ZO   Single Op HP   4,2932014-09-24 07:25:29
I was working on tower and outside well into dark last night and was super tired
and woke up bit late for this one. Anyway, 40 is back on tower but I think 90
ft is too high for domestic events, but it is always easy to crank tower down a
bit. Anyway, now it rotates and will be able to understand better if antenna
really works. But I busted ZD9XF pile-up last nite with 1st call, so maybe it
actually does work. Conditions felt bit weak on this one but still decent QSO
count for morning session from West coast. 15 was there but not too many
stations made it there. TNX for QSOs. I may not be there for evening session
due to local club meeting, but will try to make at least 19 z session. 73 de
