W8CAR   Single Op LP   5,6582016-08-10 13:02:37
started slow then picked up. 15 was open but no one home??
N3JT   Single Op HP   8,0342016-08-10 13:02:39
10 minutes before the start Windows wanted to do an update, which usually takes
2 minutes. This took 15 minutes before I could restart the PC, then 5 minutes
to set up. Just imagine what score I'd have had if I'd had those 10 minutes.
Answer: No change at all.

Thanks for the Q's. Nasty T-storm and some much needed rain. One radio - low
power - quicker to disconnect when the next storm comes thru. 40 was great -
wish I could have made the entire hour. Hope to make the late shift.

K4RO   Single Op HP   19,6802016-08-10 13:03:36
First time trying the new two-keyboard feature of N1MM. It didn't go too
smoothly due to numerous operator errors. New trick for this old dog to learn.
Activity was tremendous. I think this is my first time working 100 stations on
a single band. Hope to see you tonight. p.s. Nice to work many CWT types on
NAQP last weekend...

Running 300-500w and low wires here (nothing in the yard is above 35')

AB5OR   Single Op LP   2,6402016-08-10 13:04:59
Best rate ever. I didn't get but 35 minutes, but it was WILD! I am not happy
with my key. I have a Begali Sculpture Mono. I have decided I am not a single
lever person like I thought. Above 30, I make WAY too many mistakes, and it
showed today. I apologize to those I botched the CW.

So, if you are a single lever guy and want a beauty, I'll be selling soon, just
contact me

Enjoyed it again.

Arch nemesis of WB5 E I N (you know he has to space his letters like that,
gives him a special rhythm)
N3AM   Single Op HP   6,4082016-08-10 13:05:04
That was rough! 20m power line noise and other garbage made copy extremely
difficult. 40m was heaven by comparison.
SM7CIL   Single Op LP   8102016-08-10 13:05:23
Thanks for the QSOs!

W1TEF   Single Op QRP   4002016-08-10 13:05:38
Much better in the 1900Z session - Not totally happy, but considering the band
conditions, QSB and QRN, I'm ok with the QRP results. Nice to get back into
the swing of things again. Looking forward to future sessions and of course the
upcoming contest season. Thanks for all the Qs. Tom, W1TEF

Late start.
AD8J   Single Op HP   10,2352016-08-10 13:05:44
I'm still trying for my hard to reach goal of 120 Q's, while operating remote
with one radio. Almost had it this session except for a couple of minutes with
no contacts. If the band had been open more to EU, I might have made it.

Thanks for all the Qs and activity.

See you next week

K4HQK   Single Op HP   1,3602016-08-10 13:06:34
20m was barely there, just a few strong signals and lots of QSB. Even 40m,
despite plenty of activity, sounded strange here. That figures, given the
Solar-Terrestrial Data application called 40m daytime conditions
"Poor" right now. Whew.
W1WMU(W5WMU)   Single Op HP   7,3712016-08-10 13:06:42

KØAD   Single Op LP   6,1412016-08-10 13:06:52
Thought sure I was going to break 100 Qs until I hit 40 meters. I kept getting
beat out there. Nice to see some action on 15.

Al, K0AD
N5AW   Single Op LP   12,6722016-08-10 13:07:22
Good session! Nice to see lots of activity on 15. Probably should have gone to
40 earlier - usually a tough go at midday here but not today. Was 15 minutes
into the contest before I realized I was using CQ NA on the run radio while
working someone on the second radio - duh! Hope conditions hold for the late
N5ZO   Single Op HP   14,7962016-08-10 13:07:34
Wow, that was pretty good from left coast 19z (noon here) session. Several
Europe came through on 20. Tnx for QSOs de Marko
KL7SB/VY2   Single Op HP   6,6222016-08-10 13:08:26
It's definitely a different game from the East Coast! Took a few minutes to get
things configured correctly and I had to vacate my 20M run frequency which had
turned into a EU pileup of non CWops members. 15M was open but few there.

Very fast QSB on 20M. Sorry I slowed down a couple of you trying to get calls.
Not many on 40M as expected. I've had better days. Hi.

TS590SG; ALS1306 1kw; N1MM+; FC HDSDR PAN; Various wires and verticals.
WB5EIN   Single Op LP   1,4802016-08-10 13:11:20
Piddling again, but still having fun.

Had two business phone calls during CWT, but since those pay more than CWT, I
took them. Ha! What would you have done?

Several times, I just stopped on a freq and listening to some of y'all handle
your runs. Wish I had recorded them. Even ole neighbor rival, AB5OR, was the
attention of my ears for several minutes as he handled quite a good run on 20.
Now, please....don't y'all tell Joe I said this (and I'm whispering when I write
this), but that boy is really slick at pulling out signals and returning the
callsigns quickly so y'all can get on to other Qs. I've been contemplating
going over to his QTH while he's away and 'adjusting' his antenna resonance by
inserting a straight pin right through the middle of his coax. Think that
would help my score any? Shucks, I have to do whatever is necessary to get
within binocular distance of his performance. :-)

I am especially proud of Scott, K9MA, for doing such a great job on his QRP
bicycle mobile! Twice at 1300z, then again at 1900z, his signal here sounded
like he had biked underneath a stacked array. Great job, Scott. Keep it up,

Thanks, too, to all the non-members who gave me a Q, especially my Deep Dixie
CC teammate, Gary Van Winkle, K5KU--the speed demon of Louisiana. Great job!

Hats off to Mr. Scotty, W7SW, for keeping us abreast of happenings in Rio
during 2016. What a riot he is!

I would write more, but I know that nobody is reading this. :-)

Using the K2/10 @ 5W again this week - to a 2-element 15M delta loop or various
wires. Odd conditions today. Had some very strong stations fail to copy me
and some very weak ones copy the first call. Curious. My thanks to all who
tried. Had fun.

What a nice start on 15m my second favorite band behind 6m. CWT is so much
nicer when the sleep is gone from the eyes, the blood has an appropriate level
of caffeine and the mind is engaged. It was also nice to work EU on 20m from
the left coast from a very low yagi. Had a very good time this session. Back
at 0300 after a nice walk in the wildfire smoke.
