I thought that I would give this contest a bit more time than last year. Quite
nice activity outside of EA. Unfortunately it seemed that many provinces were
not active at all. 10m was wide open to DL/PA but not very good to Spain.
Anyway this must be my personal best.

What better time to test a new antenna home made. I speak of EndFed,
SOAPBOX: home made, last trial to play with the radio. Decided to participate
SOAPBOX: in His Majesty the King of Spain CW, cat. extreme for me ... / QRP.
Happy to have tried, with great effort, little power, but good signals. The
antenna is about 40 meters long, half is vertical and the rest to slooper. My
location is about 200 meters above sea level, LOC. JN66QD and mountain
reflections make me hear amazing things.
Very hard to put a log /QRP, only call for some, but not problems, mine was a
search to see how many country could put in log.
So, really happy ...
100 country in all band, really satisfied, although I finished hours
before, to family commitments. Try again next year I hope this
contest, always QRP, but with antenna performance !!! See you next one!!!
Special thanks to my good friend Al, IV3BSY, great lover of QRP !!!

Just had too many chores to do this weekend to get into this fun contest. 15
meters was real good Saturday morning.

Conds was ok, some spotty openings on 10 mtr.
Hope I can get some Points also in the EA HF championship also.
My EA mults are low, had hoped for some more EA's in log.
CU all in King Of Spain ssb.

Hey men, WTF? Use BILOBIL if early sclerosis :) LOL

S51DX - Congrats on your score!

Too much small but anyway problems here - I've tried for the first time N1MM+
at home QTH. Does not show multipliers on Band MAP, later - after 6 successful
hours I lost CW sending from computer and AUTO Tuner broke down.
Lost interest and finished with many rest periods.

ES5KJ never heard me, called You several times in different directions.

Old Kenwood TS-850S + KLM KT34XA @ 14mH. Just 100w only.

Next contest? Hmmm.....must be CQ WPX CW from wonderful island of Sicily.

May 24 early morning I will step on island.

Personal best for QSOs but not for mults. Did not see the usual strong EA
participation. Still a lot of fun.

I enjoy a RF journey to Spain but this year travel conditions were bad just
short of horrible. If I heard a call starting with 'E' I jumped right into the
fray. Then I heard an 'AO' in Spain, it raised heck with my thought process but
the LAL prevailed. (Listen A Lot). Maybe I should have gone to Dayton.

A repeat performance of last year, jumping in the car and heading up to Teruel
province early sunday morning. There's not normally a lot of activity from TE
so hope it was a mult for most folks.

I found a nice spot on relatively flat ground, in the middle of nowhere (4 cars
passed during the whole morning). Nice and shady but lots of bugs. Set up on 20
using the vertical on the car and things were looking good. Tried 40m after a
while but problems again with the car engine. So, threw up a vertical on a
fishing rod in the tree with one radial and that seemed to work OK. Poor condx
so went up to the high bands hoping for action. Bad choice, one qso on 10 and
slowwww rate on 15. Spend the rest of the morning hopping from one band to the
next but I had obviously missed the best hours.

I still don't have much time to devote to station upgrades. The transformer for
the laptop still makes nighmtmare QRN on 10 and 40. Still haven't interfaced the
laptop with TS 590 so all manual keying. Sorry to the folks that had to put up
with my mistakes and thanks for QRS when it was obvious I wasn't getting your
call :).

CU in WPX next weekend!

Great challenge especially when chasing the Sporadic E openings on 10.

Lots of fun. Will look forward to the next one.
