First time I ever maxed out the clock to 30 hours in WPX RTTY. I had one sub-optimal break (45 minutes to make lunch for the kids the first day - not enough to count as any off time) but otherwise did OK and could manage to cook for the family and/or run out and grab food to go in 1 hour breaks. Figured I could improve on last years score and was aiming for 1500 Q's and 3M points. It worked out! Like most President's day weekends I had to go into work this weekend. Last year I missed first 4 hours of the contest. This year I managed to arrange it, so I would miss 4 hours between EU sunrise and my sunrise. As a result, I got in at the starting gun to a huge amount of 40M action. But lack of sleep did me in the second night - about 9PM local time I was falling asleep and just went to bed. Had some hope of getting up at EU sunrise but no slept right through that! 15M was just packed solid both mornings, and was in superb shape to JA the first night. 10M very nice to EU middle of Sunday morning. Was very cold outside and after each dog walk, was nice to come in and warm up with the amp blowing heat at me :-).
