Great weekend! Everything worked well and only one equipment failure (AL-1500 amp QSK board and capacitor bank...swapped an AL-1200 in and kept going). Congrats again to W2FU on another great score from western NY and to K8AZ for jumping into the M/2 fray with a great score from Ohio. We definitely enjoy a geographic advantage over those stations on most bands and they are to be congratulated for their efforts. We welcomed a new team member for the weekend - Ira, WA2OAX...who loved the multi-op immersion program and all the craziness. Ira did a great job. We were also extremely pleased to again have Hiro JJ5GMJ, who again did a super job! Skill and persistence pay off. And special thanks to Craig K1QX and Ed K1TR for putting many hours in the chairs on Saturday! 15m propagation was down from the CQWW SSB weekend...disappointing but we made the best of available propagation. 160m was a struggle due to absorption and only occasional workable openings. 40m and 20m were great, as expected - those bands are the main "money bands" during this part of the solar cycle. 80m was pretty good most of the weekend and W1FV and others milked it for all it was worth - with a score rivaling the 15m score! 10m was terrible! Caught some very cool longpath and grayline openings on a variety of bands...always exciting to work the long-haul DX! It is part of what makes this contest so fun. A super fun time was had by all. Thanks to Matt and Juana for their hospitality! Thanks to everyone who got on this weekend and special thanks to those who traveled far and wide to put some great mults on! Thanks for all the Q's! =================================================================== Station equipment: - 4 x IC-7800 (1A/1B + 2A/2B station positions) - 2 x AL-1500 (1A/2A) and 2 x AL-1200 amps (1B/2B) Logging program: Win-Test -------------- Q S O R a t e S u m m a r y --------------------- Hour 160 80 40 20 15 10 Rate Total Pct -------------------------------------------------------------------- 0000 0 113 117 0 0 0 230 230 3.6 0100 3 63 127 0 0 0 193 423 6.6 0200 8 88 89 0 0 0 185 608 9.5 0300 4 106 100 0 0 0 210 818 12.8 0400 3 54 67 0 0 0 124 942 14.7 0500 2 70 66 0 0 0 138 1080 16.8 0600 4 41 39 0 0 0 84 1164 18.2 0700 9 53 50 0 0 0 112 1276 19.9 0800 1 14 26 30 0 0 71 1347 21.0 0900 3 4 3 46 0 0 56 1403 21.9 1000 2 5 5 24 0 0 36 1439 22.4 1100 0 0 8 130 23 0 161 1600 25.0 1200 0 0 0 191 105 0 296 1896 29.6 1300 0 0 0 145 121 0 266 2162 33.7 1400 0 0 0 140 96 3 239 2401 37.4 1500 0 0 0 109 110 5 224 2625 40.9 1600 0 0 0 138 45 2 185 2810 43.8 1700 0 0 0 87 44 8 139 2949 46.0 1800 0 0 2 45 31 1 79 3028 47.2 1900 0 0 68 42 14 0 124 3152 49.2 2000 0 0 147 28 2 5 182 3334 52.0 2100 0 2 112 6 4 0 124 3458 53.9 2200 0 48 111 8 1 0 168 3626 56.6 2300 0 67 96 1 0 0 164 3790 59.1 0000 3 50 49 0 0 0 102 3892 60.7 0100 4 49 57 0 0 0 110 4002 62.4 0200 3 49 46 0 0 0 98 4100 63.9 0300 2 52 34 0 0 0 88 4188 65.3 0400 8 42 26 1 0 0 77 4265 66.5 0500 8 56 46 0 0 0 110 4375 68.2 0600 4 78 66 0 0 0 148 4523 70.5 0700 4 53 59 0 0 0 116 4639 72.3 0800 1 26 35 0 0 0 62 4701 73.3 0900 0 4 3 0 0 0 7 4708 73.4 1000 0 4 5 1 0 0 10 4718 73.6 1100 1 3 3 106 2 0 115 4833 75.4 1200 0 0 0 100 98 0 198 5031 78.5 1300 0 0 0 100 120 2 222 5253 81.9 1400 0 0 0 126 57 1 184 5437 84.8 1500 0 0 0 92 41 0 133 5570 86.9 1600 0 0 0 125 33 4 162 5732 89.4 1700 0 0 0 72 23 0 95 5827 90.9 1800 0 0 0 47 22 3 72 5899 92.0 1900 0 0 82 29 7 0 118 6017 93.8 2000 0 0 71 32 2 1 106 6123 95.5 2100 0 11 101 4 1 0 117 6240 97.3 2200 1 11 71 5 0 0 88 6328 98.7 2300 0 14 54 16 0 0 84 6412 100.0 ------------------------------------------------------ Total 78 1230 2041 2026 1002 35 6412 Gross QSOs=6577 Dupes=165 Net QSOs=6412 Unique callsigns worked = 3964 The best 60 minute rate was 300/hour from 1157 to 1256 The best 30 minute rate was 320/hour from 1149 to 1218 The best 10 minute rate was 372/hour from 1343 to 1352 The best 1 minute rates were: 8 QSOs/minute 8 times. 7 QSOs/minute 23 times. 6 QSOs/minute 63 times. 5 QSOs/minute 180 times. 4 QSOs/minute 356 times. 3 QSOs/minute 529 times. 2 QSOs/minute 633 times. 1 QSOs/minute 632 times. ----------------- C o n t i n e n t S u m m a r y ----------------- 160 80 40 20 15 10 Total Pct --------------------------------------------------------------------- North America 33 138 226 177 88 6 668 10.4 South America 9 21 55 71 101 24 281 4.4 Europe 31 1020 1618 1662 757 0 5088 79.4 Asia 0 23 70 53 11 0 157 2.4 Africa 4 15 39 37 30 3 128 2.0 Oceania 1 11 31 24 15 2 84 1.3 ??? 0 2 2 2 0 0 6 0.1 -------------------------------------------------------------- Total 78 1230 2041 2026 1002 35 6412 Number of letters in callsigns Letters # worked ----------------- 3 62 4 1637 5 2897 6 1743 7 8 8 21 9 37 10 6 11 1 Top countries worked (>50 QSOs, not ranked): ------------------ C o u n t r y S u m m a r y ------------------ Country 160 80 40 20 15 10 Total Pct ------------------------------------------------------------------- 9A 1 11 28 15 12 0 67 1.0 DL 1 207 307 311 176 0 1002 15.6 EA 1 33 92 74 64 0 264 4.1 EU 0 22 11 21 8 0 62 1.0 F 1 44 73 80 50 0 248 3.9 G 1 37 76 85 32 0 231 3.6 HA 1 29 52 37 29 0 148 2.3 HB 0 11 29 25 13 0 78 1.2 I 2 42 124 105 73 0 346 5.4 K 2 53 108 80 18 3 264 4.1 LY 1 23 16 16 8 0 64 1.0 LZ 1 9 40 17 12 0 79 1.2 OE 0 8 17 19 11 0 55 0.9 OH 1 29 16 31 1 0 78 1.2 OK 1 61 80 70 28 0 240 3.7 OM 1 19 35 29 6 0 90 1.4 ON 1 17 32 28 12 0 90 1.4 OZ 1 15 10 20 6 0 52 0.8 PA 1 40 55 86 24 0 206 3.2 PY 1 2 22 23 47 8 103 1.6 S5 1 29 46 39 26 0 141 2.2 SM 1 32 22 38 6 0 99 1.5 SP 0 50 80 78 43 0 251 3.9 UA 0 70 83 151 8 0 312 4.9 UR 1 56 97 99 16 0 269 4.2 VE 14 58 70 56 31 1 230 3.6 YO 0 13 37 26 11 0 87 1.4 YU 0 21 31 17 14 0 83 1.3 Multi-band QSOs --------------- 1 bands 2583 2 bands 684 3 bands 384 4 bands 263 5 bands 43 6 bands 7 The following stations were worked on 6 bands: PJ2T 9Y4/VE3EY PJ4Y PZ5V TI7W VY2TT PX2A ------- S i n g l e B a n d Q S O s ------ Band 160 80 40 20 15 10 ---------------------------------------------- QSOs 22 430 913 895 310 13
